Captivate - Carrie Jones Terrible. Need wasn't much better, but I managed to get through it more easily at least. The author clearly was just on the paranormal/fantasy bandwagon because this wasn't a genuine effort at all. The relationships were dull and contrived, the scenes and storylines were so choppy, and worst of all the main character was so annoying (which for a book written in first person is pretty damn unforgivable). There wasn't one redeemable quality in this book. Plus the Amnesty International mentions (which was also a factor in the first book) always came out of no where and felt like they were commercials instead of legitimate plot points. I can only imagine these were inserted to appease the author's conscience for cashing in on such trash.I won't be reading any more of this series, or by this author again.
